TL;DR: I have a supposedly impossibly unlocked iPhone 4S in my hand. Two of them, in fact. Here’s how to get one:
- Go to your local Apple Store.
- Ask the sales associate for the iPhone 4S model of your choice for AT&T.
- Tell them you already have a line of service, and that you’d like to pay the full retail price.
- They will be happy to sell you an “off contract” phone at full retail price.
- Remove the pre-installed AT&T SIM, and install the SIM of your choice.
- Launch iTunes on your computer.
- Power up the phone and plug it into your computer via the USB cable.
- The phone will activate, and you will see a confirmation message:
That’s about all there is to it.
The longer version:
When the iPhone 4S was announced, one of the first questions I asked Apple’s online sales team was whether or not the phone would be available in unlocked, contract-free form. Yes, I’m aware that they cost much more money up front, but I prefer an unlocked iPhone for a number of reasons:
- My employer pays for my wireless service, but they will not pay for an early upgrade.
- I travel regularly to visit family and friends in Europe, and I always use a local or roaming SIM. (There’s no way I’d pay $4.99/min and $19.97/MB using AT&T’s roaming service. I can get 500 minutes and 1GB data for a whopping $6.45 using a local carrier.)
- I have a general preference against any long-term financial commitment. (Exception: my wife.)
- The factory unlocked models retain their resale value much, much better than their carrier-locked counterparts.
On pre-launch day, however, I was disappointed to see that Apple wasn’t allowing orders of these phones until November:
Sigh. This makes sense; after all, Apple’s carrier partners want to drive the supply of the new phones into the hands of long-term American subscribers instead of the ravenous exporters of unlocked iPhones.
I will be visiting family and friends in Europe at the end of October, and I really wanted to take advantage of the new phone’s better camera for pictures and video. Not a big deal, and certainly not a big enough deal to pay the premium prices being asked by the folks over the border in Canda. Nor did I feel like making the 12-hour round-trip drive to Montreal like last time.
Then, I stumbled across a couple reports from MacRumors and 9to5mac. Unlocked iPhones masquerading as AT&T phones? Could it be so?
Of course it’s possible! I am currently using an “AT&T model” (MC319LL/A) iPhone 4 that was factory unlocked by Apple when received as a replacement for an originally unlocked iPhone 4 I purchased up in Canada. Here’s a screenshot from said iPhone 4, showing T-Mobile service on iOS 5 here in the USA:
(By the way, I don’t use T-Mobile. I just keep a few T-Mobile and International SIMs around for ensuring that phones are unlocked prior to my travels.)
Yesterday afternoon, I packed up my MacBook Air, USB cable, a T-Mobile SIM, and headed out. The sales associate had no problems selling me exactly what I asked for: an AT&T iPhone 4S for use with an existing line of service at full retail price.
Yes, AT&T. Do not ask for an unlocked iPhone 4S, because they’re technically not allowed to sell you one until November. Yes, they’re all the same phone hardware underneath the covers, but the Apple Stores stock different models depending on which SIM is pre-installed (i.e. AT&T, Vodaphone for Verizon Wireless, etc.).
Once you’ve signed your hard-earned cash away to Apple, you’ll notice that the receipt will say, “AT&T Account Information No Wireless Service Activation during iPhone Sale”.
I unboxed the phones right there in the store, replaced the pre-installed SIM card with my own, plugged the phone into my laptop, launched iTunes, and got the familiar “Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked” message.
Depending on which carrier’s SIM card you use, you may also receive an Error 1630, which simply means that the phone was unable to automatically configure the APN information for data access. You’ll probably want to visit help.benm.at or unlockit.co.nz.
I tested both phones with both AT&T and T-Mobile SIM cards, and both worked as expected. (T-Mobile is still EDGE-only.) Here’s a screenshot from the new iPhone 4S, also showing T-Mobile service on iOS 5 here in the USA:
For what it’s worth, I am not worried about Apple locking these phones at a later date. They have been selling unlocked AT&T iPhone 4 models for the last many months, and I’ve had no problems to date.
I hope this information is helpful to others.

can you tell me if this info is true?
i want to buy a 4S but it’s locked and i will use it at the outside of US. if this info is true, i can buy an AT&T full price and then i can use my own sim card.
please reply me soon, thank you
Yes: if you buy the AT&T model at full price, it will be unlocked for world-wide use.
“For what it’s worth, I am not worried about Apple locking these phones at a later date. ”
What is your reasoning behind that statement? I purchased the AT&T model (as you did) and am currently using the micro-sim from T-Mobile and it has worked out of the box. However, I, for one, am concerned that this phone may become locked at a later date.
What version of IOS does the factory-unlocked iPhone 3GS/4 get when you update it? I would assume the AT&T (GSM) update. If my assumption is correct, my level of concern drops significantly. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.
Of course, there is the 30-day return window. I may just bring it back when the “factory unlocked” phones are released and exchange it for something that I know will remain unlocked.
I have treated my unlocked AT&T model iPhone 4 exactly like my other Canadian model unlocked iPhone 4. They all get the same iOS updates, straight from iTunes, and I have never had any issues. I even called Apple after the replacement a few months ago, and they confirmed that their system shows an “unlocked” flag associated with the phone’s serial number.
I am not worried about this becoming an issue down the road. I have documentation showing that I paid full price and the unlocked status of the phone was confirmed by iTunes, and I have faith that Apple will make things right.
Dear sir,
I am going over to the USA next week from the UK, and I would like to bye a Apple iphone4s as I do beleve it is the only way that I can get this phone without having a contract,
Just what do I have to do to enable me to get this phone to work on my Uk network.
I am confused as to what to do .
Would you be able to help me out.
many thanks
john
John,
First, you’ll need to make a reservation (stock is getting tight!), and make sure to bring the required items:
http://www.apple.com/retail/iphone/
When you speak to a sales associate, tell them you would like to purchase an AT&T iPhone 4S at the full retail price to use with your existing service. You should not have to explain anything else — they should simply sell you the phone.
Once you have the phone, simply pop in your UK SIM (I’m assuming you can roam here in the USA), and plug the phone into your computer to activate with iTunes. You should see the “unlocked” message, and your phone should start working right away.
Regards,
Oliver
I bought 2 Iphones yesterday on Apple Store Town Centre, Boca Raton….No reservation required….Just walk in and said exactly the instructions from this page….No further questions!
Thanks for the tip!
hello, john I have a question, Im going to the united states in 1st of november, I can buy the iPhone 4s at retail price at any apple store? this really works or its a scam? Im just asking because I really want to get one! the iPhone 4s really gets unlocked??
Sorry the question is for Oliver…
Yes, it really works.
So you can buy it in any apple retail store?
Yes. Just follow the instructions at the top.
Just one last question Oliver, They do not ask any information prior you have an at&t service?
No, they shouldn’t. The only thing they need from you is your money
Just tell them you want the AT&T iPhone 4S, and that you want to pay full price. If they ask why, just tell them you don’t want to extend your contract.
Ok thank you for your help! And sorry Ive asked so much! one more thing! I just want to know if I have roaming on my sim-card from outside of the states, is there gonna be any problems? because when I used my iPhone 4 at the states its always got at&t in my iPhone 4s
Is there gonna be any problem? or you suggest I should do it with an T-mobile sim-card??
You can use your roaming SIM.
Hello,
I live in Europe, Norway to be exact, and there is very little info when it comes to purchasing an iPhone in the US and using it in Europe. My question is: If I buy an UNLOCKED iPhone 4S when I’m on vacation in the US in late november/early December (assuming the unlocked version has been released), will it work with my carrier when I bring it back to Europe? I know what unlocked means, I just have to make sure I don’t misunderstand and wind up spending 700$ on a phone I won’t be able to use when I get home. And is there anything else I should take into consideration if I’m going to buy iPhone 4S and take it home to Europe?
Your understanding is correct: the unlocked iPhone purchased in the US will work with your GSM phone service back home in Norway. If you can roam in the US, I recommend you bring your SIM over here and test it before you return — that will give you peace of mind.
Thank you so much!
Oliver,
First I want to say that I find your blogs very comfortable to read and follow.
My question is, if you were to restore your now unlocked, commitment free AT&T iPhone 4S, would you still need an AT&T SIM to activate it again or can you use any SIM card you want to activate?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Yi Chen
No, any SIM will work.
Oliver,
I’m with AT&T and I am eligible for the new iPhone 4S. But I’m also in the military and I might be moving to Europe in the next 12 months. If I get the AT&T subsidized (locked) iPhone 4S, will I be able to use it with a local carrier when I get to Europe just taking out the AT&T sim card and putting in the local carrier sim card?
No. If you purchase an AT&T iPhone 4S on contract to obtain a discount, it will always be carrier-locked to AT&T. If you want a phone that can be used with a local carrier in Europe, you should 1) pay full price for the fully unlocked model or 2) switch to Verizon Wireless, who will sell you a phone with an on-contract discount AND unlock it for use in Europe after 60 days (as they do with all world phones).
Understood. If I take the process you described in your original entry above, could I just swap the sim card that is in my 3GS and put it in the 4S so I could use it while I’m still here in the US?
Correct.
I know that Verizon’s Network is CDMA and that most if not all of the networks in Europe use GSM. But if Verizon will unlock their 4S after 60 days of purchase like you mention, then I could use a local European Carrier (or anywhere for that matter) and pop in their sim card whether they use the GSM or CDMA network because the 4S is now a world phone, correct? In that case, that may be the best option to avoid paying for the price of the unlocked 4S and use it in Europe.
But I understand that Verizon will ONLY unlock your phone if you have been in a ‘good standing’ with them for 60 days. I wouldn’t take any chances.
(I also reported this in OSXdaily)
The trick worked for me too.
My European simcard was accepted without a hassle and started roaming (with AT&T but I think that was just coincidence), I then went to the T-mobile store to shrink my sim card to micro-sim size.
You should’ve seen the grin on the T-mobile guy’s face when I walked in with a half-open iPhone 4S box asking for a sim card cutter and a pin.
I’ve instantly had full bars with my T-mobile sim card and I had a successful iCloud restore from my iPhone 4 that got stolen last week (&^$#%#), as soon as all the apps are done syncing (that’s EDGE for you) I’ll start annoying Siri.
The grinning T-mobile dude advised me not to update iOS but I really don’t think that Apple would push a new lock to an iPhone that has just been unlocked by Apple itself. Any thoughts on that?
If there’s any risk, I’m probably just gonna switch for an unlocked one once they come out in November under the pretext that I got a white one temporarily because there weren’t any black ones in store (which was actually true).
So im in Miami and Im from Europe(Slovenia), and I would like to buy iPhone4s, in the store they said that all are locked, so before I buy it I would like to ask if the iphone will unlock when I will plug it to iTunes with my european sim card? So i hope you reply fast, thanks again
!!
As long as you pay full retail price, it will be unlocked. I am currently visiting family in Belarus, and I had no problems with my iPhone 4S on the networks here.

yesterday i went to the apple store and got my 64gb iPhone 4s with a free contract and payed the full amount. YES, it is unlocked. When i connected it to iTunes i did not get the message that says congratulation your phone is unlocked.
I have a question… The iPhone 4s wasn’t unlocked? or you did got the message of congratulations??
Hi Oliver Aaltonen,
). So I’m wondering what happens if I buy a verizon iphone 4s or sprint at apple store and pay full retail price ?? have you test it.
Thank you very much for the tip.
Actually all att iphone 4s are sold out everywhere and it’s almost impossible to reserve online (for some reasons people are really fast
thank you.
Interesting question. I don’t know, but there’s an easy way to find out: buy one and test it. Apple Stores have a 30-day return policy with no restocking fee.
I would like to buy a iphone4s here in the united states to use in the philippines, if i use your method will it work there?
hi! Oliver!
I live in los angeles and i went to some apple stores making reservations ( stores are glendale, brea mall and pasadena), still no luck . I didn’t get one. You mentioned above that should tell the sale associate I have existing ATT service, they asked me what is my ATT number and I didn’t have one. They suggest to wait until unlocked comes out if I don’t have ATT number, I am so eager to get one. Please help!
Today i went to a phone shop whose owner is an indian guy. He told me he sell factory unlocked iPhone 4s . Probably those phone that he has are the ones that bought with the same method. He powered up the phone he connected to his wifi and said lets wait a while. Then we inserted my sim from europe(turkey) . And iPhone gave the error ‘ no sim card installed’ . I denied to buy the phone and leave the shop. I would like to ask what happens when you insert the european sim and power up the phone before inserting it them to iTunes. Does it give the same error? No sim card installed. And after connecting to iTunes will we get the unlocked message? I will try with a phone from nyc apple store. Can I give it back with money refund if it won’t work? Thanks
Guys,
I’ve tested all iphone 4s (ATT, SPRINT and VERIZON) myself ( I bought them at apple store and paid FULL RETAIL PRICE so no NEED TO ASK again). So here is the conclusion:
1/ If you don’t buy your iphone at apple store and don’t pay FULL RETAIL PRICE, your iphone IS LOCKED.
2/ THE ONLY IPHONE 4s that is UNLOCKED IS THE ONE THAT YOU BUY AT APPLE STORE FOR ATT SERVICE AND PAY FULL RETAIL PRICE.
3/ IF YOU PAY FULL RETAIL PRICE FOR AN ATT IPHONE 4S at APPLE STORE, you can activate it with the original ATT sim card, it’s still UNLOCKED. The thing is an unlocked iphone can be ACTIVATED with any sim card and it’s still UNLOCKED, NO NEED T-MOBILE or whatever.
4/ If you pay full retail price for an iphone 4S VERIZON or SPRINT at APPLE STORE, the phone is LOCKED, you will get SIM NOT VALID message. I have try to activate them with att sim or tmobile, DIDN”T WORK.
READ my post CAREFULLY before asking new question. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL FINDING AN IPHONE 4S.
PICTURE THAT I TOOK WHEN TRYING TO ACTIVATE THE SPRINT IPHONE WITH ATT SIM

Thank you for taking the time to gather this information and for posting the results.
reply me as soon as possible that if i buy locked iphone 4 16gb to AT&T at $199 in usa & unlock it next day by myself then tell me that i have to pay Some amount to anyone or not??? if no then i am free or at&t will take any action on me
tell me that if i buy locked iphone 4 to at&t at $299 & don’t pay monthly charges what will happen?????
Thank very much. I bought an iPhone 4S 32GB “device only” in Scottsdale AZ and now I’m using it in Brazil. Works like a charm.
Definitly Works Bought mine @apple gardens mall! and its unlocked, it works fine here in Guatemala with Claro!
Thank YOU!!
What happens when you buy an off contract iphone that was bought from the at&t store that hasn’t been activated?
I don’t know, and I haven’t seen any reports either way. Has anyone here testing this?
My gut tells me that the AT&T POS system doesn’t have the necessary connectivity to the backend Apple database that determines if a phone is sold at full price or not… in which case it wouldn’t work. But that’s just a guess.
hey
I live in Egypt ,,and I was wondering if the unlocked iphone 4s would work here ?? !
and if the apple can update the software so that it gets locked after it has been unlocked !!?
Yes, it will work. No, they cannot ever lock a factory-unlocked phone.
Hey Oliver! I have a question: i live in Costa Rica and we use GSM cards here. I am going to the states next week and i really want to but the new iphone 4s. What i want to know is do I have to buy the unlocked iphone to get it working here or can i just buy the at&t one and insert my sim card and will it work and will they ask me for information about an existing contracts since i dont have one? pleaase help! i also know there are people who unlock iphones here and pretty much everywhere. Would it work if i bought the at&t one and get in unlocked here? thank you so much!!!
Yes, you will need an unlocked iPhone to be able to use any GSM carrier. If you pay full price for the AT&T phone, you will have a completely unlocked phone. You don’t need to provide any phone line or contract information.
Thank you for answering. What do you mean by a full price at&t phone?
You will need to purchase either the AT&T GSM model at full price (no contract discounts), or just ask for an unlocked phone (they are now available).
when you say fill price do you mean with a two year contract? and if i just go and ask them to sell me a normal not unlocked at&t model will they sell it to me even if i am not a resident? and do you know anything about unlocking phones? my dad bought an iphone3s some time ago and they were able to unlock it in orlando just wondering if i do that if it will work in my country when i put a gsm card?
Apple does not need any information from you other than a method of payment. They do not ask for your name, phone number, or anything else. To avoid confusion, the simplest thing to do is ask for an AT&T model iPhone 4S, and tell them that you don’t want a contract. They will sell you the full-price, factory unlocked iPhone 4S.
There are currently no software unlock methods that work with the new iPhone 4S. This may be possible in the future, so I would suggest following the iPhone Dev Team’s twitter account or website.

Hey Oliver! I am from Costa Rica and I would be traveling tomrrow and I was wondering what happen if I buy a at&t iphone 4s and pay the full price would it work in costa rica with unlocking it illegaly I mean with Cydia, or I would need to buy a Factory unlocked one.
Thanks
Help!!!!!!!!!!!
A full-priced AT&T iPhone 4S *is* factory unlocked. It will work with your local SIM.
You won’t, however, be able to jailbreak the 4S — yet.
Hi Oliver! I’m Kristian, from Italy, i have a Vodafone italy SIM Card can i use this sim card for the unlock of the at&t 4s? i also have an H3G SIM. What is the best? I have to take a T-Mobile SIM Card?
I will don’t buy an factory unlocked iphone because in some store doesn’t sell it
Excuse my bad english
Yes, you can use any SIM card. The “unlocking” is done during the phone’s hardware activation process with Apple’s servers.
Hello Oliver! I’m alessandro, congratulations for the blog …
I live in Italy.. next week a friend of mine goes to America for the holiday .. I wanted to take me an iPhone 4s .. from what I read on your blog just he says to a salesman at the Apple Store an aT & T iPhone 4s at full price without a contract? then can I use it with my vodafone card? many thanks! and sorry for the banality of the question ..
Yes, that’s exactly it.
I’m sorry! I’ve another question..I am asking if the total price of the iPhone is 749$ for the model of 32gb, or to the apple store in ny they add another tax of about 8%? Tnks so much again!!
That sounds correct.
Hi Oliver, next monday i will be in NY and my first mission will be the purchase of a 4s 32 gb. Your post makes me optimist, ’cause i’ve read in different blogs that is impossible buy an iphone unlocked without shipping to an american address. Unfortunately i’ve read that in apple store of 5th avenue don’t know this method, and is required a pre-order to pick the iphone next day. Do you know something about this? Anyway, if I’ll leave the shop handling an iphone, could it be locked by At&T in future? THANX A LOT!
Perhaps they require a reservation, but you can still use this method: simply reserve an AT&T iPhone 4S. If they ask you for your AT&T phone number, you don’t need to give it to them. It’s normal, because some people aren’t eligible for an upgrade, or they don’t want to extend their contract. They’ll probably tell you that you’ll need to pay full price for the phone, but that’s what you expect.
Once the phone has been purchased at full price, Apple’s back-end system registers that as a factory-unlocked device. I have never heard of a factory-unlocked phone becoming locked at a future date — you paid full price, you get it unlocked forever.
I’ve read that iphones under Sprint, originally unlocked, will be soon locked by Sprint itself… Moreover, at AT&T stores this procedure is unknown, ’cause they say that all their iphones are simply and originally unlocked. So I ask you: why I have to avoid the real request of a unlocked iphone when i’m at the apple store and I have to lie about the real worldwide use? Thanx again
Sprint will only be locking new iPhones 4S sold from 11/11/11 going forward. They specifically stated in their press release that they had no intention or capability of locking iPhones that were already sold and being used by customers. Neither Sprint or AT&T have this capability — only Apple, which is why you must buy the full-price AT&T iPhone 4S at an Apple retail store or via Apple’s online store to receive the unlocked phone.
You do not need to lie to the Apple salespeople. I just told them that I wanted to use my existing phone service with the new 4S, and that I would not be using the contract discount.
Sorry…an error in the post above: ’cause they say that all their iphones are simply and originally LOCKED
Ok Oliver, i’ll do my best following your experience! I hope to write again here with the word : Victory!
Dear Oliver , I have a question to ask you. The full price AT&T iphone4s at AT&T store unlock or not?
I suspect it’s locked, but I haven’t personally verified.
Hi,
I’d like to share my experience, I just bought last Friday an iPhone 4S AT&T full price in the Lincoln Road Store in Miami for to use back in my country (Chile), the guy from the store told me exactly what you have told, that it should work if I activate with my SIM…. after 3 days, several calls to Applecare, AT&T, and the manager from the store. I’m still trying to activate it. The iPhone and the iTunes gave the same message…. “The sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported…”
Now, apple store is saying “it suppose to be unlocked but can’t be 100% sure” the only solution so far… return the iPhone to the store…
Be aware and try to get a really “unlocked” one.
I’m gong to follow trying to find a solution…
Dear Bernard, i’m sorry for your experience, and i hope you solve it as soon as possible. Please, keep us informed, ’cause many of us are ready to buy an At&T full priced. Thanks…
I just bought my new iPhone 4s unlocked from the Apple Store while on holidays in the USA, this is my first iPhone ever
So sorry to sound so naive but it is my understanding that it takes a micro-sim instead of a normal one? I have already purchased a GSM supported micro-sim back in Australia to use when I get home but I’m so excited I want to use it right now and was wondering if I can test it out while I’m still here by using my current T-mobile sim? The thing is its normal sized, if I trim it will it work? Or do T-mobile sell micro-sims as well? Thank you in advance
Yes, you can trim your T-Mobile SIM, and it will work in the unlocked iPhone. There are cutters available on Amazon, or you can try a local phone repair shop (if such a thing exists near you).
hey just wanted to know i actually turned the phone on did not know there was a sim in it and now some number keep popping up that says i have to activate zip code and s,s i dnt know wht to do can u help me out
i would like to ask,do we need to order it first (iphone 4s free contract-unlocked) ? or it’s ready stock?
hello and thank you for posting all this info. i went into an apple store today and they were sold out of the fully unlocked phones, but told me they could sell me an AT&T one at full retail instead. HOWEVER, they told me that the catch is, that if i were to ever stick an AT&T sim into the phone, it would lock itself, but that i would be safe as long as i use a t-mobile sim or travel abroad. can somebody confirm this information?
That is not true. I switch back and forth between AT&T, Straight Talk and international SIMs all the time in my factory unlocked AT&T iPhone 4S.
My exchange student is interested in buying the iPhone in the method that you described. I appreciate your thoroughness in this subject matter. Then one question that I did not see answered in your blog is about the data plan. She currently has an American cell phone and a roaming Danish cell phone. She will put her Danish sim card in the iphone, but there is no data plan attached. Do you not need to have a data plan with an unlocked iPhone? Can she use it in the US to call Denmark without a data plan? Will she be able to connect to wireless internet in our house? Thanks so much.
No, you do not need a data plan with an unlocked iPhone. She can use voice and SMS with her roaming SIM, and get data via WiFi.
Thanks for you help!
I got the phone and it said unlocked – but it says that there no sim-card in, even though my Danish sim card is in… Do you know what to do? Also after i registered it on my ituns account, it says that my carrier is AT&T 11.0? Is there something wrong here???
Hope you can help me!
Hi, Oliver!
Thanks for this most useful post. You have helped a lot of people.
I read that you keep some extra T-mobile SIM cards on hand. Where do you buy them? I have asked to buy a micro-SIM at several U.S. T-mobile stores and so far not one store will sell me one.
Perhaps you could give me the proper phrase to use to successfully buy a micro-SIM from a U.S. T-mobile store.
Many thanks!
I just buy the standard SIMs and cut them down to size with a micro-SIM cutter (http://amzn.to/ogO3pW).
Hi Oliver, I’m from Argentina and I’m traveling to New York on march 2012. I want to buy an unlocked iphone 4s to use it in my country with a GSM-carrier.
I don’t know if for this case it’s better to buy the AT&T-full-price-phone, or directly ask for an “unlocked iphone 4s”. Other thing that I don’t know is if the Apple’s Retail Store has availability or if I must reserve it first. Could you help me with this? Thanks so much!
Either will work. I would call ahead of your trip to the various Apple Stores within your traveling area, and they can tell you which are available.
is it possible to use unlocked iphone 4s in the philippines? pls answer as fast as possible thanks
Unlocked iPhone 4s supposed to work everywhere worldwide, if you have GSM SIM card, just put in and you ready to use. Just make sure it’s a unlocked version.
is it possible to use the unlocked iphone 4s in the philippines?
hi Oliver,
According to your calculation, which one is better/cheaper? buy off contract iPhone 4s or buy 2 years at&t contract is better?
I search on web and couldn’t find any answer.
I know off contract iPhone you can use ST and many other choices….
Thanks for your answer.
Hey oliver, my brother bought a full price iphone 4 in september 2010 from new york. He is now in back home in india and needs to upgrade and get the phone unlocked. Need help with this urgently. thanks.
Hi, Oliver. Excellent post. I’m from Argentina and I’ll be travelling to NY soon.
Quick question. If I go to a retail store and buy an iPhone using your method, can I activate it in the store from the iPhone itself inserting my own argentine SIM? Or do I need a computer with iTunes? If I can do it in the store, I would check everything works immediately.
hello i have one question i’m leaving in greece and i want to buy i phone 4s in usa at AT T full price but i cant go in usa to buy can send me the apple store or i need to find someone to buy for me and if i can do all the other process in greece frrom i tunes etx
